Post-Doctoral Research Fellow
We are seeking a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow to join our team based at University College Dublin in the School of Civil Engineering.
The successful candidate will develop new monitoring strategies and rapid response indicators to inform the implementation of appropriate restoration measures for improving ecological water quality in our rivers and streams, in line with the goals of the EU Water Framework Directive.
Specific objectives of the role include determining the nature, level (location, spatial extent) of interventions needed for measurable improvements in river water quality; identifying the factors which influence the timeline of system recovery; identifying ecological indicators of success (including biodiversity assessment), and developing guidance to support river resource managers in implementing monitoring strategies that can best inform the deployment of restoration measures.
