Suman Acharya
Dr. Suman Acharya is a Research Associate at Ulster University, specialising in water quality and nutrient biogeochemistry. Her work focuses on how dissolved nutrients – such as carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus – and emerging contaminants move through landscapes into rivers and streams.
Suman is currently collaborating with Professor Phil Jordan within the Co-Centre for Climate + Biodiversity + Water, where she assesses the effectiveness of nature-based solutions for improving water quality. Her research aims to provide practical insights for sustainable land and water management.
