Wilson Chan
Wilson is a hydroclimatologist at the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology, working within the Hydrological Status and Outlooks Group. He studies the interactions between climate and hydrology, with a focus on how climate change influences extreme hydrological events such as floods and droughts.
Wilson contributes to operational river flow forecasting through the UK Hydrological Outlooks and helps produce the National Hydrological Monitoring Programme’s monthly Hydrological Summary reports. He completed his PhD at the University of Reading, where he researched the current and future risks of extreme hydrological droughts in the UK.
