Johan David Reyes Chávez

Johan Reyes-Chávez is a PhD researcher at University College Cork (UCC) whose work focuses on the impacts of climate change on biodiversity, conservation management strategies to reduce environmental risks, and the documentation of threatened species.

Drawing on experience in both the public sector and environmental NGOs, Johan is passionate about developing biodiversity information systems and decision-support tools that help policymakers and conservation practitioners make evidence-based management decisions. His research interests include biodiversity documentation, biogeography, plant ecology, and conservation management.
