Andrew Parnell

Professor Andrew Parnell is the Met Éireann Professor of Data Science for Climate and Weather at University College Dublin. He was previously Director of the Hamilton Institute at Maynooth University.
His research focuses on machine learning and statistical modelling applied to various climate and ecological fields.
He has authored over 110 peer-reviewed publications and has received more than €16 million in direct research funding.
He is also a funded investigator in the MaREI Centre for Energy, Climate, and Marine Research and Innovation, as well as the Insight SFI Centre for Data Analytics.
