Rising Issues

Rising Issues

What is Rising Issues?

Reports and policy documents can often feel technical, distant and difficult to relate to everyday life. Rising Issues is a series of workshops that aim to challenge this issue by connecting climate researchers, community workers, designers and residents across Wales to explore what sea level rise means for their specific places and communities.

What's Involved?

The project involves a four workshop sessions:

  • Workshop 1: Focuses on introducing the topic
  • Workshop 2: Works with participants to set out how climate issues are reported and understood locally
  • Workshop 3: Imagines possible futures together using creative methods
  • Workshop 4: Considers what the community would like to see happen next and  supports them to map the next steps to get there

This work forms part of the creating inclusive decision-making spaces for multi-level climate action research project.
