Ciara Bartley
Ciara is a PhD student at the Co-Centre for Climate + Biodiversity + Water. Her research focuses on using machine learning techniques to model Ireland’s coastal vulnerability to climate change. She is based in the Coastal Research Group in the Discipline of Geography at Trinity College Dublin and is supervised by Prof. Iris Moeller and co-supervised by Prof. Tim McCarthy and Prof. Rowan Fealy at the National Centre for Geocomputation, Maynooth University.
Ciara holds a B.A. (Mod.) Honours Degree in Physics from Trinity College Dublin where she also worked as a research assistant in the Department of Physics. Her current research will focus on monitoring Ireland’s dynamic coastline and investigate how challenges like climate change, sea level rise and storm surges will impact the risk of coastal erosion and flooding over time.
