Our People
Martin King
Martin is a climate researcher whose work focuses on understanding seasonal and subseasonal climate patterns in the Northern Hemisphere, with particular attention to how tropical sea surface temperatures (such as El Niño-Southern Oscillation) and Arctic sea ice influence autumn and winter conditions.
He is also interested in applying data science and statistical methods to climate, weather, natural hazards, environmental management, water, energy, and health.
At the Climate + Co-Centre, Martin works with high-resolution climate projection data for Ireland, contributing to research that informs climate resilience and environmental decision-making.
