Michael Wallace

Michael Wallace

Professor Michael Wallace is Professor of Agriculture and Food Economics and Head of the Agribusiness and Rural Development Section at University College Dublin. He holds a BSc and PhD in Agricultural Economics from Queen’s University Belfast, as well as an MSc in Economics from the University of Warwick.

His research focuses on the economic impacts of agricultural and environmental policies, with particular attention to farm households and rural communities. Michael also uses analytical modelling to assess farm-level innovations and technical adaptations that support the long-term sustainability of agricultural systems.
