Policy

Our researchers work with governments and public bodies to provide the evidence needed to shape effective environmental policy and deliver positive benefits for society. They do this in two key ways:

  1. They contribute independent academic expertise to the wider policy conversation through consultations, workshops, advisory boards and committees, helping ensure that climate, biodiversity and water policy is informed by the latest research.
  2. Through our Policy Response Unit (PRU) researchers provide commissioned evidence and expert analysis in response to government calls and tenders for evidence. This enables public bodies to access high-quality scientific expertise to support policy development and decision-making.

If you're interested in collaborating or learning more, we’d love to hear from you.
